Stacy Designs So Others Understand
After graduating from Purdue University with a BS in mathematics education in 2005, Stacy started teaching in the Chicago Public School system. Over the next nine years, she designed learning experiences for students in math, earth science, engineering and French, and she served as a K-12 teaching coach.
Stacy’s work has advanced the practice of more than 150 teachers and almost 14,000 students. Her success with students led her to the New Teacher Center, where she developed skills in adult learning, instructional coaching strategies, and mentoring techniques. At Mobile Makers, she applies all those skills to bolster the curriculum and to build new courses.
In her spare time, Stacy works with her husband to run their “music clubhouse” business, WholesomeZine, a place for artists to gain 21st century skills to promote their craft. She manages the operations, high school student radio programs, college internships, DJ/ blogger training, and social media for the company.
