It isn't every day that a tech company travels the world to reach out to its community and share some secret sauce, but yesterday Mobile Makers Academy was honored to have Twitter stop by on its first-ever Flock 2015 tour.

Twitter has a new suite of developer tools, collectively called Fabric, that offer everything from smart crash analysis to SMS authentication, beta distribution to mobile ad revenue—all with just three lines of code. The company launched its Flock tour in January to meet developers around the world, talk about some of its internal processes, and show all the slick stuff Fabric can do for them.

We hosted Twitter’s Chicago stop Tuesday night, and it was a blowout success. Over 120 developers from the Chicago community and nearby (a few even drove down from Milwaukee!) came to learn about Fabric. In fact, Twitter’s team said it was one of their best turnouts yet. Some great Q&A was had by all afterwards, and this morning our students are already checking out how they can use Fabric in their projects.

We’d like to thank Twitter’s @laurenschutte @jbulava @gpj @beardigsit @xsvengoechea and @stephaniekahan for their fantastic work and a great presentation. We also wish them safe travels on the rest of the tour.
